Looking forward to watching this film. I can not dispute the film is visually striking, though all actors seem to be stunted... it doesn't meet its full potential. Whilst the actors are very good in their own right the character they portray and the history surrounding them seems to be why the film is rated so high. It is quite dull, whilst reliving a very important part in abolishing slavery ... I was just bored, but continued to watch in the hope it would get better. It didn't - proves that just because a film as Hollywood awards doesn't make it a good film.

Daniel Day-Lewis, the dude was amazing. No wonder he won the oscar. This movie can't be boring for a lot of people, including me at times. But at the end of the day it was a great movie.
