I just couldn't get into it Jennifer Lopez did not give a convincing role I know alot of ppl won't agree but it is my opinion and we all entitled to one. It just seemed like another movie of a scorned mother and she's out for justice I've seen hundreds of those movies and this one was really no better then the next. It goes goes straight to the day they are in a support group telling there story of pain but maybe it would of been a more interesting if they showed the incidents and not bits and pieces BORING

I would recommend this movie but it is emotionally draining too. Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez work very well together. Davis is a very sympathetic character. All the cast do a good, naturalistic acting job. And I finally saw who Viola Davis's husband is, who plays Ben in this movie, you feel their connection. There is too much violence for me but maybe revenge if not sweet feels necessary after such a grievous loss.

The emotion in this movie was well felt, though Viola Davis brings this like only few can. She and Jennifer Lopez matched up is an interesting pair. Losing a child is painful enough, though losing him/her by a human being's hand has no words to encapsulate what a parent feels. This movie explores the avenues of bereavement - emotionally & mentally.
