About this movie

When Rebecca left home, she thought she left her childhood fears behind. Growing up, she was never really sure of what was and wasn’t real when the lights went out…and now her little brother, Martin, is experiencing the same unexplained and terrifying events that had once tested her sanity and threatened her safety. A frightening entity with a mysterious attachment to their mother, Sophie, has reemerged. But this time, as Rebecca gets closer to unlocking the truth, there is no denying that all their lives are in danger…once the lights go out.

are the themes of this movie. I watched it because I saw the original short movie on YouTube ( aaaaaaaahhhhhh) and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the Diana thing is really scary but all the other characters are also very well crafted and there is a lot of love going around. I liked the central message of the movie and the lights on/off scares were great. A different kind of horror movie well worth the rental money, but some hardcore horror fans will probably find it to tame.

Don't these horror movie makers realise that by explaining the whole origin of the monster they remove the mystery and just turn the movie into a by-the-numbers snooze fest? Shame...this had promise.

Should have been kept as the original short which is much better, instead turned into a generic horror with clichéd, boring characters. Also, basically a remake of Dark Falls from years back.
