About this movie

When Rebecca left home, she thought she left her childhood fears behind. Growing up, she was never really sure of what was and wasn’t real when the lights went out…and now her little brother, Martin, is experiencing the same unexplained and terrifying events that had once tested her sanity and threatened her safety. A frightening entity with a mysterious attachment to their mother, Sophie, has reemerged. But this time, as Rebecca gets closer to unlocking the truth, there is no denying that all their lives are in danger…once the lights go out.

This. Was. Scary. I am an avid horror fan, but unfortunately it takes a LOT to actually scare me. It is few and far between that a horror movie gets any physical reaction from me. I had to turn on the lights a few times watching this, which I haven't done in a very very long time. I think 'The Strangers' was the last movie that affected me, but I was alone in my house for a week, and it was a different type of 'scary'. Still, 'Lights Out' definitely gave me the chills.

Not only was this horror movie very long it wasn't over in a second but most horror movies you don't get scared to the last 20 minutes of the movie and you don't see anything scary until the last 30 minutes then movie and then maybe during the Whole 30 minutes you might see maybe 5 to 10 minutes of the monster creature whatever it is this movie started out from the very beginning showing The Entity and all through the movie I don't think the movie went 10 minutes without showing it again well written&acted

Very well done and creepy horror film. Has a big Ring and The Grudge type of vibe but this movie was brilliant. I loved everything about it from the storyline to the acting to the characters and the terrifying Diana. This movie is more of a supernatural psychological horror film because while you know the name of the vengeful spirit that haunts the family, you don't clearly see her which leaves it up to the imagination to put a direct face on the character.
