Sean Connery stars as Allan Quatermain, the world's greatest adventurer, who leads a legion of superheroes the likes of which the world has never seen! Stupid and soulless. The source material (great comic) is turned into a farce, with obligatory American characters and dumbing down of everything. This is the film that made Sean Connery stop acting in movies. It's that bad.

To take such a great comic and butcher it like this should be a crime. Save your money and go watch the "Penny Dreadful" series instead.

Underrated actioner that as usual is dismissed because it doesn't follow the source material. It's a fun and edgy film.
