Great animation, even when watched on a mobile device 📱. The american accents were annoying and would have preferred Japanese 🏯 actors to play the roles with Japanese accents... Would have felt more authentic. But still a great movie. Great plot, characters, etc.

Having seen the trailer and reading very positive reviews I knew I had to see this movie. Extraordinary stop motion animation, stunning art design, a captivating story, and moving soundtrack all contribute to making this one of if not the best animation film made in its year. In my opinion at least. The film comes out of stop motion studio Laika, credited with other films such as Coraline. It stars an array of well known actors such as Charlize Theron and Ralph Fiennes, who delivers stellar voice acting for the characters of the story. Each protagonist is very likable, with quirks and personality to make them easy to relate to. The story being told is set to ancient Japan. In style it resembles a folk tale, and the tale holds your attention throughout the journey. Do recommend!
