Any movie with the tagline "This film will shred your nerves" always gets my attention. The first act plays well, rails up the tension, then descends into an all together different film. I'm not one for spoilers. It could have been more clever than it tried to be, but for me, the ending was just not shocking enough and really quite preposterous.

It's very violent, in a way that says "screw you" to pearl-clutchers and "come and have a go if you think you're hard enough" to other directors. Exploring (amongst others) themes of control, violence and justice without using omages of violence, control, and, er, injustice (or at least, questionable justice) isn't possible. This is a really good film.

Watched it because of the reviews about how it changes direction near the end but the end ruined it. The hitman storyline was good until the big weird and boring reveal at the end.
