About this movie

A twisted, funny, high-octane adventure, director Matthew Vaughn brings KICK-ASS to the big screen. KICK-ASS tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski [Aaron Johnson], a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real- life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name -- Kick-Ass -- assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There's only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl [Chloë Moretz] and her father, Big Daddy [Nicolas Cage].

Its a okay movie I've read the book which is more darker & better. The movie isn't as realistic as the book. The jetpack scene was ridiculous. However I still believe the movie will be enjoyable for fans.

I didn't have high expectations with this movie. It was a Thursday afternoon and I was mostly killing time. Since I'm a fan of Avenger movies and comic characters somewhat, and also because I liked Chloë Grace Moretz a great deal I thought I'd give it a try. I was overwhelmed and amazed at the store, and plot lay-out, and character development in this movie. I never got bored. It was entertaining and engaging the whole time. Hats off! I'll be watching the follow-up #2 very soon.

One of my favorite movies from my teen years. I also liked Watchmen but I typically avoid all the marvel superhero movies to give you a sense of the type of movie this is closer to. I like stories about humans and not so much about aliens so this is one of those superhero movies that is not too far from reality. I remember it being funny too.
