It suffers from trying to hard to be Pirates of the Caribbean and woefully missing the bar. From a company like Disney that has the money to blow on good cgi they come off looking like early cgi work- awkward and obvious in many places.

I thought it was a fun and enjoyable film. Of course, it's the usual Johnson film trope, but it's still nice to see another adventure film. I hope we get more globetrotting adventure films in the future, and that's why I support films like this.

Excellent. Loved every minute. A lighthearted adventure with a fantastic cast. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun just kicking back with a flick. I've loved DJ since The Rundown, and Emily Blunt is hands down my favorite actress, so I was already primed to love it and it still exceeded my expectations. No cynicism, no message, just great fun.
