A very interesting movie. Without having seen movies like this, I might never have known about events in other parts of the world. Now, knowing that this is based on a true story, it will be interesting to read the testimonies of those that lived it. The movie does a good job depicting the friendship & live between these explorers. And it also shows how those relationships, even the best ones, are vulnerable to stresses in non-ideal situations. It is a heart-breaking, & at the same time, joyous story. One critique: The movie cover shows Daniel Radcliff with a machete. But if I remember correctly, I don't think actually held the machete once.

stunning visuals, was happy to read the book then see the movie, this is by all means true to Yossi's actual recounting of the harrowing adventure albeit and abbreviated version of it. Daniel Radcliffe has come into his own and you could feel how he put his heart and soul into this role as Yossi. i appreciate the true languages being spoken as well as the producers sticking to the tale and cutting out stupid overdramatic scenes. i absolutely recommend Yossi's book and follow it up with this movie. only bad thing was the very beginning it was difficult NOT to see harry potter with a beard...but i stand by Daniel Radcliffe, he has become an astounding and versatile actor!
