Joker

just watched the joker, having waited for ages to see it. Have other people watched a different film?!! It was awful, staggeringly bad. The basic conception of taking a comic book character and making it real life is a bit perverse and just does not work. The film tries to remake taxi driver / king of comedy essentially, even going so far as to cast Robert de Niro! What we get is a lumbering, slow, predictable origin story not worthy of more than five minutes screen time, stretched out to two excruciating ours. oh the soundtrack though? rubbish. just rehashing other tunes, no atmosphere. And as for the acting performance that won every award... just another hollywood sycophancy job. they love actors who change their weight for a film, especially losing a lot. And JP has lost a lot, and DOES HE LOVE showing it. needlessly, in nearly every scene. and all he does is ham it up and overplay every single scene until you just can't bear it any more. no subtlety, just taking RDN from taxi driver, heath ledger from the joker and a bit of christian bale from american psycho and mixing them up. i kept waiting for sth to happen. oh the plot is him going crazy they say, but he was crazy from the start, that is well established? and the extreme violence is unhelpful and unnecessary. do not bother with this film i am shocked this was so successful, but america does love comic book films....

It was a good experience to watch. I understand the critical reviews given be previous pundits..but hey I quite enjoyed it...those who criticised it badly, give me an example of a film you rate highly. Regardless whether JP was trying to show off his weight loss or the directors were taking spin offs from Taxi driver or not... most people got entertained. That's the ethos

There is no point or connection between batman and this silly joker movie I have seen the movie. It is good acting is good screen shot is great subject is very sociological and the over all a great movie. But there is no connection as I said with Batman movie. It depict Mr Wayne , father of Batman, a rubbish corrupt politician which had been depicted other vise for 50 years Deserve to see but nothing more
