Jojo Rabbit

One of Taika Waititi's better films. Dark comedy, drama but a film with alot of heart. Oh and you haven't really appreciated The Beatles or David Bowie until you heard them in German. Trust me.

Before watching it's important to understand that the absurdity of the Nazi party portrayed here is meant to show just how silly their customs and beliefs were and to illustrate the point that behind their facade of strength, they were collectively fragile and thin skinned. At no point does this movie poke fun at or dehumanize the victims of the holocaust or those oppressed by Hitler's party. Just the opposite. They are portrayed as strong willed and survivers during a brutal time. Amazing film!

Amazing movie, it's a really heartfelt movie, it's talks about a heavy theme in a really clever and lighter way, it represents really well WW2 and people that went through it, which is what this movie is about, people. Taika knows really well how to tell a story!
