About this movie

Writer director Taika Waititi, brings his signature style of humor and pathos to his latest film, JOJO RABBIT, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother is hiding a young girl in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler, Jojo must confront his naive patriotism.

I cannot recommend this movie enough! Nothing I can say or write about JoJo Rabbit can truly describe the feeling it gives you - what is still such a sensitive and solemn era in human history is explored, in this film, in such a unique way. Don't listen to anyone who rates this down based on the comedic spin; if they actually watched the film, it is true to history and frames the issues in a way that can be relatable and relevant even today.

I really wanted to like this movie after seeing lots of hype and the trailer looked good but I found it a bit of a slog and eventually turned it off. Those whacky NAZI's... I can see why this movie might be popular in the States since they have a big issue with neonazism but I found it all a bit strange... I didn't think it was really that funny and it all came accross as kinda inseensitive and disrespectful... I'm pretty open minded and I tried to like it but in the end I was like "life's too short to watch the rest of this rubbish"... I don't understand the 5 star reviews to be honest.

Jo jo is no no. I would never watch a movie or pay money for anything that uses hitler as a joke, creating wealth from making a joke out of a horrid situation, whoever made this, acted and produced this should be ashamed. Freedom of speech and all we hold dear now would not be so if this horrible little man hitler had won. Usually I would spell names with a capital but not hitler.
