John Wick

Excellent film if you like violence and action. It is very well shot and my favorite part about tit is probably the lighting, it gives it a very gritty feel. Sometime the graphic violence feels over the top, but if you know that going in then its one hell of a ride. Keanu Reeves does a great job in this, may be because he really excels at fight scenes and overall action and excitement over dialogue. This being said, in the few emotional scenes in this movie he does a good job portraying his character. Defiantly would recommend.

This movie was a total surprise. I watched it with some friends because it was heavily promoted in a game we play (Pay Day 2). The trailer made it look like an over-the-top goofy action movie. It was, but it was all very self conscious and tongue in cheek. It was campy and fun but still smart.

Like everyone else here alludes to, this is an awesome, straight up action movie. Simple story, great atmosphere/world, beautiful choreography. I wouldn't call it mindless as it takes quite the mind to appreciate what seems to race before you. But that's just me. I bought this movie specifically to add it to my "Action" section.
