About this movie

Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting) plays Rudy Baylor, a rookie lawyer in over his head on a high-profile case. Opposing him: an army of seasoned legal sharks (led by Jon Voight). On Rudy's side: Deck Shifflet (Danny DeVito), a feisty "paralawyer" who specializes in flunking the bar exam.

I recently read this book and wanted to follow up with the movie. So glad I read the book first! The scenes are wildly out of context, they made up scenes not to mention they removed his best friend Booker entirely! HATED IT! Two snaps

Read more books, watch less movies. The book was much richer and intriguing as this is John Grisham's wheelhouse of writing. The movie skipped great scenes from the book, flipped content around and was out of context with the book. Although it is always difficult to put all of a book into a movie, I feel this movie was a bit lazy in trying. The acting is ok. But I think the movie missed the drama building the book provides.

Ehh...I was a little bored. Matt Damon, John Voight, Danny Deveto, & Mickey Rourke as well as Danny Glover kept my attention but the storyline was weak IMO. I did not read the book, but that may not have made type difference. I was not wowed in anyway & felt this flick was predictable. Just not my kind of movie. Others may enjoy.
