5 stars... plus 5 more! The most excellent portrayal of the Gospel accounts of the life of Jesus ever made. A tremendous cast of stars are presented here, and unlike is the case in many such films, the stars' personalities don't overshadow the story itself. Excellent acting(Robert Powell was perfect in his portrayal of Jesus: his tenderness, and when needed, his anger, too)directed perfectly, and an appropriately reverential score. Truly fits the expression " in a class by itself " 5+5!

Probably the best filmed version of the Life of Christ. However this particular edition is CUT--it is missing Judas' decision to betray Jesus as well as a large chunk of the Last Supper sequence. Hopefully these important scenes will be reinstated at some point. Otherwise it is STILL a powerful and beautiful mini-series.

Omgoodness. This movie has always been my top number one. I have always always loved this. Its goes alone with the Bible so much. Please if you havent gave your life to the Lord let him into your life before its too late. God is real. And his love endures forever!!
