It was always going to be impossible to better the original, so if you enjoy it for what it is - a well constructed, modern refresh then you'll probably enjoy it as much as I did. It's a fantastic show, with improved visuals, expanded live acting and of course the re-worked soundtrack. The only slight let down for me was Marti Pellow's performance. Not sure if he was having an off evening at the time this was recorded, but his voice really did not sit well for me and his performance of Forever Autumn was a disappointment. Otherwise, great stuff!

I went to see this amazing show before jeff wayne committed entertainment suicide when the original members from the making of the album took place were in the show.. To have marti pellow sing the classic "Forever Autumn" with his almost non existent voice compared to the mighty Justin Hayward is unforgivable. .we put our hands over our ears for the duration - in fact had Wayne publicly stated before tickets went on sale who the performers were we wouldn't have booked tickets. .

Weak. Lifeless. Nowhere as good as the original. Neeson is insipid compared to Burton, and the rest of the casting is as poor. Remakes need something extremely special to work, and this doesn't have it. Save your money. Buy the REAL version.
