When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, it’s game on, as the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop the madness all over again! With all-star cameos from Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Chris Hemsworth, Rosario Dawson, Melissa Benoist, Joe Manganiello, Molly Shannon, and more, this is the kickass comedy reboot you’ve been waiting for.

I love this movie SO MUCH!!! I've been a fan of Kevin Smith movies since the beginning. If you are as well it's highly likely you'll love this movie too. I laughed through the whole thing. Literally. Even the end credits, where it looks like things that were cut for time or mistakes are shown, I was still laughing when the last credit rolled. This movie isn't going to win any Oscars so if you're cranky about needing to watch Oscar nominated movies, you're probably not going to enjoy it the way the rest of us do. It's more a lot of laughing with a story interwoven between. It has the same Kevin Smith heart that has kept his fans going to his movies for years (well displayed at the end) and basically touches every film he's made over the years. The cameos reflect it. I think the most fun for me was watching Kevin play both himself AND Silent Bob in the movie. Kevin's new found confidence in himself is so evident via the amount of dialog he has to do to drive the movie plot near the end. It was quite a treat to see this new side of him (even though he was basically playing his director self). Silent Bob also speaks in this movie a couple of times. Also, Jay Mewes daughter Logan is SOOO frickin adorable!!! She's 4 years old and chews up the screen like a pro!!! This is one of those movies you're going to want to watch multiple times just to catch and discover the mass amount of goodies in it. I gave it 5 stars because that's how much I loved it, not because I was judging categories of film making. Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is a movie you watch when the dismal future of our planet and the vileness of ego and greed that is suffocating society is about to overtake you. Hit "PLAY" and just laugh until you can face real life again. =)

Woof! Maybe after some rewatches this movie will mature like a "How High" fine wine, but for now... 😐 While "Strike Back" was a View Askew reunion movie like "Reboot"; "Strike Back" at least felt like a coherent (and funny) story. This film has a story, but there's just parts of it that go on way past the point of the joke and get very tiresome (especially the lame dad jokes). This film is strictly for View Askew Universe fans ONLY and not something I'd suggest anyone else watching.

I didn't go into this movie with high expectations. I thought it would feel forced but it wasn't. It was surprisingly very well written and everything tied in nicely to his View Askew universe. I thought the movie was great. The scene with Ben Affleck was thrown in at the very last minute of filming but it was such a huge part of the movie for me. You could tell it was really heartfelt and real what Ben was saying. There's no doubt he helped write that part. It made me cry. Damn you, Ben. You did it in Good Will Hunting, The Town, Pearl Harbor, and now J&SBR. I love Kevin Smith and everything he's done. Great job, Kevin!
