It's A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie

Far from the greatest muppet movie, the story is based around "It's a wonderful life". The jokes are weak and very clearly dated by their uninspired pop culture cameos and references to things such as Scrubs, or the 2001 Grinch movie. Parents will be disappointed by how many adult themes are in it, while kids will be left unamused by the heavy story and the aforementioned jokes, they probably wouldn't understand. The song, Everyone matters, had a good moral, even if it was a bit 'on the nose'.

This is definitely not the muppets that Jim Henson gave birth to. So crass and rude. I love the old muppets. Even loved their version of the Christmas Carol Brian Henson did after Jim's death. Since then they have become terrible, with every year getting worse. This film was dull, slow, and most of the human actors appear bewildered as to how to interact with the muppets. Woopie Goldberg appeared to only be channeling her old character from the Star Trek series but calling it God here. Very poor movie! Oh for the old Henson magic.

I honestly don't feel like this movie is very appropriate for its target audience. As far as I know, it's for kids, but I don't think I'd let a kid watch it. It's also just dumb in my opinion. Really boring until it's inappropriate and it's pretty sacrilegious with Whoopie Goldberg's character.
