About this movie

Rarely can a film penetrate the glamorous surface of rock legends. It Might Get Loud tells the personal stories, in their own words, of three generations of electric guitar virtuosos -- The Edge (U2), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), and Jack White (The White Stripes). It reveals how each developed his unique sound and style of playing favorite instruments, guitars both found and invented. Concentrating on the artist's musical rebellion, traveling with him to influential locations, provoking rare discussion as to how and why he writes and plays, this film lets you witness intimate moments and hear new music from each artist. The movie revolves around a day when Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge first met and sat down together to share their stories, teach and play. 2009 Steel Curtain Pictures, LLC. It's fun to watch these three get together and talk, compare notes, and swap stories. They are quite different from each other, yet they seem to appreciate the other's perspective. The joy of music should always be shared this way. Musically, all three are incredibly talented. Personally, Jimmy and the Edge are easy-going and down-to-earth, while Jack is a bit full of himself and his persona. Perhaps it's the age difference. Still, if you play guitar, watch it! You will no doubt enjoy it and learn a lot.

The edge shouldve had absolutely nothing to do with this movie. I'm okay with Jack white being there cause he's got talent and is respectable. But honestly the edge shouldn't have made the cut. That's like sticking Bieber and Johnny Cash together and saying talk about music. One plays music, the other doesn't. You take a guess at which one is the talentless idiot.

C'mon people! This is not a documentary based on the opinion of talent, rather it is based on the evolution of individual style, how they play and how each pioneer their sound. Now, i love Jimmy Page and Jack White is on genius level but the Edge has earned his place in the use of effects. Page is the epitome of a lead guitar player and he stands larger than life, but the Edge was not the same type of guitarist and neither is Jack But, they are all innovators of their own unique sound!
