About this movie

Secure within a desolate home with his vigilant, protective and heavily armed parents (Joel Edgerton and Carmen Ejogo), 17-year-old Travis navigates fear, grief and paranoia amid scarce resources as a desperate young couple (Christopher Abbott and Riley Keough) seeks refuge in his family home with their young child. Despite the best intentions of both families, panic and mistrust boil over as the horrors of the outside world creep ever closer. But they are nothing compared to the horrors within, where Travis discovers that his father’s commitment to protecting the family may cost him his soul. (c) 2017 A24 Distribution, LLC

I won't even bother with a synopsis because you're GOING TO follow my advice and DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! Starts off slow and drags it's tail for a climax that doesn't come. NOTHING came at night (whoever is responsible for the name of this movie should be fired) and half of the movie is just watching a creepy sleepless kid walk around a dark house at night, or watching his entirely pointless dreams. Heed my advice! Go rub lemons into your eyes for 90 minutes instead.

This has to get the worst movie ever made award! Everything in it was the most boring thing to watch, it hurt my eyes and head and opened up my eyes to an underworld of utter garbage that i never thought was possible... I wanna sue them for how much they p*#sed me off for taking a part of my life I feel was picked up and throw off a cliff into the deepest darkest nothingness and I can't get it back..... Please dont waste your money or time on this, u can close your eyes and pick a million times better film....

I would of enjoyed this movie a lot more if i had not gone into it thinking it would be 'scary' and your typical 'horror' type because frankly, it isn't! It is a THRILLER and should not be advertised as HORROR. Very moody and simple, mostly character focused. It just annoys me that a movie with a little death (nothing over the top or gruesome) is made to be a 'horror' film when all it is is a mystery/thriller at best! Rant over.
