Despite the amazing animation, this is in my opinion one of Wes Anderson's
most mediocre movies. It has some wierd presentation choices like only
occasional subs or audio translations. Some annoying or uninteresting
characters who add nothing to the experience but time. Characters who seem
important to only basically vanish in the middle of the second act. Odd
resolution. In a bad way. It also felt far too long for what was being
presented. It's an alright movie with stellar animation and a meager plot.
Watch it for the animation. Buy the fantastic mister fox for the total
package.

I really not not get it what did people see in the film ? I remember watching it in the local theater a few years ago and to be honest I almost walked out it was in my opinion a terrible movie. The story made know sense something to do with abandoned talking dog puppets, I just could not care. What is with the oriental setting ... can not tell if it is supposed to be Japan or China it really does not matter I guess but just how does this drive the story about dogs ? This type of stop motion animation should die a horrible death it is not the 60s anymore. The movie was dull and without any purpose

This movie is a absouloute masterpiece! The stopmotion was amazing! Its such a wonderful movie filled with life! It was such a great movie! I mean the puppets look killer awesome. Sometimes the movie gets a little weird like when Atari pulls that thing out of his head and blood shoots out and he falls to the ground. But besides that. Its a amazing, adventurous, fun, crazy adventure and im sure viewers will be blown away! the voiceacting was great! It was such a great movie!
