About this movie

This is the true story of Christopher McCandless (Emile Hirsch). Freshly graduated from college with a promising future ahead, McCandless instead walked out of his privileged life and into the wild in search of adventure. What happened to him on the way transformed this young wanderer into an enduring symbol for countless people -- a fearless risk-taker who wrestled with the precarious balance between man and nature.

The unmistakably talented Emile Hirsch leads this incredible, touching story that will completly change your perspectives of the life we live and what it really means to have a life. Such a genuine potrayle of a remarkable true story, equally uplifting and devistating with a beautiful moral.

A beautiful story of a young man's battle with convention, his family's secrets, disappointment, Idealistic youth and determination. That wisdom is not limited to age and life does not always give us a happy ending.

An extremely inspiring film of bravery, nature and adventure. Mccandless' journey is one that viewers can't help but to empathise with.
