Takes a while for some action, super confusing (idk if thats just me), but at the end (that takes forever to get to) it did touch my heart, it took me a while to get, it doesn't really look realistic and thats pretty much because of the horrible acting, but it really was a beautiful movie threw out, it was a little sad when he never got to his daughter (young) but i love anything to do with space, but some.. mistakes is almost repaired by the story and the beautiful back grounds.

Great movie beautifully crafted, well paced and with an engaging thought provoking take on the future. This movie was kinda in the same vein as Europa Report and shares a similar message of the in-consequentiality and fragility of humanity relative to the vastness and power of the universe(s) and how we must accept that Quantum Physics and Microbiology and a "Eureka moment" on earth with unmanned exploration of space (the age thing) are the only hope for humanity (and not a 2000 year old carpenter story or a new Apollo mission), Then there is the Matthew McConaughey element (and I am not being critical of any part of the movie at all) that at the end of this film that uncannily resembles the ending of True Detective an almost Scientolog-ical view.

Seriously, we all wondered if this film would ever end. Bad acting, ridiculous plot (if you could call it that) and an embarrassingly stupid robot that looks like a cross between a vending machine and an enderman. I expected good things but was extremely disappointed. This is NOT good SciFi. The music was the only good thing about it. Completely inauthentic, unoriginal and, for the most part, boooriiing! Dumb ending too. Half a star if it were possible - since the music was good.
