About this movie

1788, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart escapes the frustrating, privileged elite of Vienna to spend a few weeks in Prague. However, his unconventional presence soon unleashes a series of dramatic and tragic events set off by a forbidden affair with young soprano Zuzana. Overwhelmed by the tangled web of lust, violence and intrigue that surrounds him, Mozart finds inspiration to create the astonishing and dramatic piece of music that will become the operatic masterpiece "Don Giovanni". Interlude in Prague is a powerful period thriller set to the music of Mozart and starring James Purefoy (High-Rise, The Following), Samantha Barks (Les Misérables) and Aneurin Barnard (SS-GB, War & Peace).

[ Story ] It maintained my interest throughout and I did not sleep through any of it. [ Actors ] I thought that they performed really well. Some of them were famous people who are popular. [ Audio ] This was really good because there were lots of impressive vocals and music. [ Cinematography ] Good photography scenes with well planned composition and movement. Made use of modern technology and produced clear visual effects. [ Set decoration ] They did well with this and produced stages pleasing on the eye. [ Costumes ] They fitted the women nice and tight around the waist and showed off their figures. Same for the men but naturally they get more attention anyway. Everyone first looks to see what the men are wearing in the party scenes. [ Hair and makeup ] People can notice that a lot of time and effort went into this. [ Stunts ] Well executed action sequences with dangerous looking props. [ Key grip ] It really came across that he did a good job during this production.
