About this movie

'Inside Job' is the first film to provide a comprehensive analysis of the global financial crisis of 2008, which at a cost over $20 trillion, caused millions of people to lose their jobs and homes in the worst recession since the Great Depression, and nearly resulted in a global financial collapse. Through exhaustive research and extensive interviews with key financial insiders, politicians, journalists, and academics, the film traces the rise of a rogue industry which has corrupted politics, regulation, and academia. It was made on location in the United States, Iceland, England, France, Singapore, and China. MPAA Rating: PG-13 © 2010 Sony Pictures Classics Inc. All Rights Reserved. CBFC Rating U. During crisis I didn't follow news that much, I had no idea what made 2008 financial crisis. After watching this documentory I got to know many things. Learning from history is very important as it makes you ready for present situations. My only complaint with this video is that it is heavily one sided I am sure there must be some explanations from people who are accused of causing recession.

Greed mixed with Power is a potent intoxicating drink, that potentially has a toxic aftereffect on the social structure. This documentary shows with real life interviews and documented evidence on how the powerful Wall Street firms, with the help of lobbyists gamed the law making process that helped them to create the Weapons of Mass Financial Destruction, the infamous CDO that brought down the whole world with its domino affect. This one changed my perception of systematic organized crime that we call the Mafia.

Eminently watchable! Contents are short on depth - 100s of interviews shown within 100 minutes means that nothing worthwhile ever got discussed. Only thing you will be left with at the end of the movie is "Govt and regulators did nothing to prevent vested interests in fleecing gullible people". For such a long documentary that had access to as many people as it did, I would have expected a an in-depth analysis and future possibilities. I appreciate that one needs to keep it simple, opinionated and fast moving for the average viewer, but it lacks the depth of a documentary without being as entertaining as a Hollywood movie!
