About this movie

Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the best in the dangerous art of extraction: stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible--inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse, their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. Engrossing. Enthralling. I was absorbed by this story's universe, and even managed to follow its logic. The only disappointment was that the final admission by DiCaprio's character - which is delivered as if it should be the ultimate revelation for the viewer - seems as if it should have already been assumed, as the casual remark that alluded to it early in the movie was given just a little too much gravity for it to be of no consequence. But it was a fun ride regardless. And the final scene cut just as I hoped it would. I will never look at a spinning top the same way again.

This movie tries too hard to seem intelligent and has it's brain fall out in the process. Terrible plot mixed with poor implementation result in needlessly complex story that ultimately ends with anti intellectual message.

I cannot get this movie to play in HD. Even watching it through the Youtube interface the maximum resolution available is 480p but when I stream it on the Chromecast it plays in HD. Why is that Google? The movie itself is very good.
