About this movie

Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight) stars as Ludwig van Beethoven and leads a stellar cast that includes Isabella Rossellini (Blue Velvet) and Valeria Golino (Rain Man) in Bernard Rose’s sumptuous modern classic. It is 1827. Beethoven is dead and the whole of Vienna is in mourning. For his friend Anton Felix Schindler (Jeroen Krabbé) it is the start of a strange search. In his will Beethoven has left all his worldly goods to his ‘Immortal Beloved’ and Schindler takes it upon himself to discover this person's identity. His search takes him on a fascinating journey into the mysterious life of the legendary composer and his artistic and romantic passions. A life that is once tragic and inspirational, obsessive and romantic lived by a man beset by his own genius and its tumultuous consequences.

This is one of the most amazing films that I have ever seen, Only at the end of the film do you realise how much Beethoven loved the woman of his life and yet throughout the film you would think that nobody could hate anyone as much as he did. If you really want to see and understand one of the great masters of this world then please watch this film.
