In the romantic comedy, I FEEL PRETTY, Amy Schumer stars as Renee, a woman who wants to be one of the “pretty” girls. After a freak accident during spin class, her dreams come true when she wakes up to a completely new reflection, believing she is suddenly the most beautiful and capable woman on the planet. With this newfound confidence, she is empowered to live her life fearlessly and flawlessly, climbing the ranks at the company she works for and earning the respect of her boss Avery LeClair (Michelle Williams). The catch? To everyone around her, she looks exactly the same.

Don`t be mislead. This is not a chick flick. It would be naive to think that men and boys don`t suffer from the same insecurities and, as a consequence, men would totally relate to Renee`s position. Come on guys this is a bona fide dick flick. Amy`s a real spunk and one of the lads.

Despite what other viewers may think - I thought this was sweet, heartfelt and ultimately had a great message. It shows how misguided people can be in terms of their own self view and how just being yourself is what matters most. Chill cynics.

Enjoyable and educative chick flick, thoroughly enjoyed by Mrs B. Very relevant to today’s narcissistic, shallow, overly image-conscious, swipe left, swipe right society. Personality and confidence defeat a highly stereotyped, fake ideal of feminine beauty. I think feminists will be uncomfortable with the glaring contradictions in this story but so are most of the male reviews below. It would appear that nobody likes having their ideals challenged. Amy Schumer puts a very real face on the fable of Narcissus. It is difficult material made entertaining and funny.
