About this movie

The horror thriller “IT”, directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades. When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids is faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

I hated this. At least when the original came out, it felt like something new, this used all the old and tried cliches. In two hours you will get no real character development, no scares, and the weakest ending I've seen in a long time. I mean two hours and that was the ending they give you. I don't get it, in the 21st Century Hollywood can't come up with their own ideas so they reboot every and anything they can find. I hate it for anyone that bought this or went to see it at the theater.

A decent movie, but a poor adaptation of the book. They turned a great story into a stupid dansel in distress tale. Not to mention the disservice of changing Mike's, Henry's and Patrick's stories, eliminating the turtle(and thus Good vs. Evil) changing the timeline and making George go missing instead of killed with his arm ripped off. "Based on" no, more like inspired by and doesn't hold a match to.

Ok so the movie was good over all but I did find a couple things I didn't like for example the young characters were great actors but some of the dirty sense of humor comments and jokes felt off. These are young dorky kids that were talking like they were older... too much cussing was involved... not that cussing bothers me normally but it did in this film cause it felt fake and forced. Out of place and over done.
