About this movie

The horror thriller “IT”, directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades. When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids is faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

I can't fault the acting, but the way they've changed this doesn't make sense. Mike seems to have become a token character, with some of his parts being parcelled off to Ben, and Bev has become a 'damsel-in-distress'. Huge chunks are missing or altered. I understand that it is a large book & that some things need to be edited, but there are parts, which are important to the story, that are missing or edited beyond recognition. I am definitely disappointed by this version.

Not a horror film per se but it's scary enough for younger audience. Was impressed with the acting of the children in this movie they were very good. You can't help but like these kids

Clown looks good but otherwise the movie is not scary at all. Some scenes were quite bizarre. I felt like it was more of a funny version of Stranger Things 2 and not a horror.
