Not something I'll be buying but glad to see it. I looked away a few times as animals get killed but to be fair, this family was living out in the wilderness so I guess they had to. Otherwise, this was kinda funny and somewhat moving; the main characters were likeable and the acting was terrific. And since the protagonist, Ricky Baker, likes books and reading, I liked the touch of text at the bottom, dividing the movie into chapters with titles. The entire show was stolen however by the cinematography - I mean WOW, every single frame was so thoughtfully and beautifully shot that it's worth seeing just for THAT. So yeah, rent it and stuff.

Warm, funny, full of heart and great moments. Easily one of the best movies of 2016...and after the 2016 we've had, this is the kind of movie we all need to watch to remind us that there is still good in this world!

Good film, funny, heartwarming and Entertaining with very honest and True to life bits, better than a lot of the predictable Hollywood rubbish coming out these days.
