About this movie

Get ready to kick some serious past with the wildly inappropriate UNRATED version of HOT TUB TIME MACHINE. The outrageous laughs bubble up when four friends share a crazy night of drinking in a ski resort hot tub, only to wake up with nasty hangovers in 1986 -- back when girls wore leg warmers, guys watched Red Dawn and Michael Jackson was black! Now, nice-guy Adam (John Cusack), party animal Lou (Rob Corddry), married man Nick (Craig Robinson) and mega-nerd Jacob (Clark Duke) must relive a wild night of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. And, with the help of a one-armed bellhop (Crispin Glover) and a mysterious repairman (Chevy Chase), these time tourists just might get lucky, survive the acid-wash '80s and change their future—forever!

By first appearances, this should be lame, tired, obscene but not really funny kind of movie. But I loved it! I rarely watch a movie more than once, but this one I did. The humor is actually funny; the plot is kind of cool. But especially if you are an 80's kid (now in their 40's), it will make you remember how it was back in the day - in a fun, silly way....dare I say even poignant at times....ok, that may too be a strong word. But any any rate, it was fun and definitely worth a watch.

If you're looking for an Academy Award Winning film, this isn't it. It's just a silly movie that I can watch over and over. I love all of the 80s references in it--even though they embellish more than what is needed. Personally, I can watch this movie over and over and never get sick of it. It's a good laugh for those who grew up in the 80s. Kids these days probably wouldn't like it.

Did not bring back memories of younger years , even the hairstyles were wrong for that era. Walked out of this at the movie theater within 15 minutes, it was so stupidly bad.
