About this movie

A train pulls into the station -- it's the end of the line. A hobo jumps from a freight car hoping for a fresh start in a new city. Instead, he finds himself trapped in an urban hell. This is a world where criminals rule the streets and Drake, the city's crime boss, reigns supreme alongside his sadistic, murderous sons, Slick & Ivan. Amidst the chaos, the hobo comes across a pawn shop window displaying a secondhand lawn mower. He dreams of making the city a beautiful place and starting a new life for himself. But as the brutality continues to rage around him, he notices a shotgun hanging above the lawn mower... Quickly, he realizes the only way to make a difference in this town is with that gun in his hand and two shells in its chamber...

Okay, for obvious reasons this film is awful, but if you go into it knowing that you might be surprised and entertained... is what i would say if this wasn't the worst movie I've ever watched part of, a larger part then I like to admit. Seriously do not watch this. Ever. Just rip your toe nails off with rusty pliers and kick lemons around. you'll thank me later.

The "fake trailer" the movie is based on is one of the funniest things I've seen in years. It's horrible. I'm sure it would offend the tender-hearted legions of Social Justice Warriors out there, with its depiction of an absolutely uninhibited...SJW. HWAS has real heart, while sticking to the trailer's 'plot.' It might make more sense with David Brunt reprising the role of the shell-shocked vagrant, but Hauer's sincerity just adds to the absurdity. He's at his best, and the hospital scenes are classic.

So much gore, synth, bad dialogue and grainy grit. It is truly an excellent throwback to late 70's/early 80's gorefest-campy-action. Definitely not for the squeamish or easily disgusted, however, so be warned. Its so ridiculous and over the top with dialogue and plot progression you can't help but love it. Its a freaking hobo with a shotgun for crying out loud! Plenty of laughs and offbeat humor. It'll make you want to give a f--- yeah for this guy and his mission to dispense justice, one shell at a time.
