About this movie

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell star in this hilarious, non-stop action-packed comedy co-starring Bradley Cooper, Kristin Chenoweth and Tom Arnold. A nice guy with a questionable past, Charlie Bronson (Shepard), risks everything when he busts out of a witness protection program to drive his girlfriend (Bell) to Los Angeles for the job opportunity of a lifetime. Their road trip grows awkwardly complicated, however, when they're chased by an inept fed (Arnold) and Charlie's ex-pal (Cooper), a vengeance-crazed criminal he helped put behind bars. Hit & Run is a high-speed race to the finish where the brakes are off and the chase is on.

I'm from an era when every script doesn't have to be written by Shakespeare, it doesn't have to be in black and white to be considered "classic" and sometimes, especially in action scenes, some things don't happen the way they would in "real" life. This was an excellent effort by Dax Shepard and his gorgeous Lady Bell. I have a sense of humor and a racial/homosexual/rape joke is just as welcome to me as a protest against it. I was half through the movie when I realized that was Brad Cooper. Got job, bro!

This movie tries to be a romantic comedy action movie and fails at both. There are moments In the action where they are chasing each other in circles for 5 minutes. There are scenes that you wwould think are meaningful that add nothing to the story. Dax Shepherd did the best any 50 yr old could playing the part of mids 20s bad boy. The worst part seems to be when they take several jokes and somehow make them about race, gender and sexual preference. The whole movie sucked wish nerflis did refunds.

I am not a prude, I use profanity myself but when the dialog is 25% f* word and the movie can't make up its mind...'is it a comedy with some drama or is it a drama with some comedy'... it ends up failing on both counts. Wait until it is on a free streaming service, don't rent and waste your money. Nice Lincoln though.
