About this movie

Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery star in the 1986 cult classic Highlander, stunningly restored to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary. He fought his first battle on the Scottish Highlands in 1536. He will fight his greatest battle on the streets of New York City in 1986. His name is Conner McLeod. He is immortal. After surviving a wound that should have killed him during a clan battle in the Scottish Highlands in 1536, Conner McLeod (Christopher Lambert) is banished from his village. Years later, he is met by Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez (Sean Connery), a swordsman who teaches McLeod the truth about himself; he is immortal, one of a race of many who can only die when the head is cut from the body. He must fight his way through the centuries until the time of the gathering, when the few immortals who have survived the ages will come together to fight until only one remains. In New York City the final fight is about to begin, and in the end there can be only one.

Excellent film but I'm giving only 1 star simply because of the rip off cost to buy. Google Play are charging £9.99 where as Amazon Prime and (shockly) iTunes are charging only £3.99. Often people complain about the cost of digital downloads vs physical copied of the film which for the flexibility of watching wherever you are without carting round a box of DVDs is a fair price to pay. For Google to be charging more than double the other providers for the same film though is a con. Save your money on this one and look elsewhere for the digital version.

Before Game Of Thrones, we had gripping adventure spanning Millenia with the Chosen battling for their birth rights. Visually compelling without CGI. Ropey accents but there's a French guy and Sean Connery.

Some kind of encoding issue. Tried streaming, downloading on a s6 and on a nexus7. Get drop off, quality loss, odd buffering and completely crashing. Hoping it will get fixed as it's an awesome film.
