This has been a favorite since my childhood. I'm not ashamed to admit this film and the Highlander Series were my introduction to Queen, Clancy Brown, Sean Connery, and Christopher Lambert. For me this takes me back. I only wish we could get the Director's Cut for this film and the Renegade Cut for the second film. I admit there is a lot of cheese to this film and looking at it through a modern lens might make it seem like a bad film but remember it was released in 1986 and is an action movie mixed with some romance.

This was one of the best fantasy concepts of all time and would have been remembered as a great stand alone film. However sadly a terrible sequel was made that had a so so sequel of its own and a good TV series then a grand finale between two great characters that was also good then a travesty of a final film. Still this is the best of the bunch. Good acting by the cast Lambert and Connery of course stand out and this film turned Clancy Brown into a legend.
