About this movie

The incredible untold true story of Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) & Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae)—brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. This stunning achievement galvanized the world and inspired generations to dream big.

Excellent film and a very nice and well deserved tribute to three African American women. Like their brothers and sisters, these hidden figures overcame obstacles and worked extra hard every single day of their lives under the watchful eye of racism, ignorance and hate. Through these women, this film celebrates the extraordinary resilience and the undying hope of African Americans despite the repugnant treatments they had to suffer at the hands of their countrymen and their own government.

Great movie but don't believe the untold free story bit. Like all movies based on history they took liberties

Funny, intriguing, and sarcastic. Everything was pulled off really well and it really made me feel empowered as a woman of colour of the possibilities. Only complaint was that the cast was way too pretty compared to the people they were based on, but hey, that's Hollywood, and the leads did a fantastic job. Make more movies like this!!!
