About this movie

IT WILL TEAR YOUR SOUL APART. Stephen King was once famously quoted as saying: "I have seen the future of horror... his name is Clive Barker." That future became a reality when, in 1987, Barker released his directorial debut, Hellraiser. Based on his own novella The Hellbound Heart, Barker's Hellraiser sees Larry and his wife Julia move into their new home, unaware that something lurks beneath the floorboards of the rundown house, waiting for human blood to bring it back to life… Coming at a time when the genre was descending into self-parody and an endless slew of inferior sequels, Hellraiser remains one of the most frighteningly original visions in horror, which introduced the world to the fearsome and iconic Pinhead and his sadistic band of Cenobites. 2015 Arrow Films

Classic masterpiece in horror, from Clive Barker in his debut. This film will tear your soul apart. Pinhead (Doug Bradley) was amazing and the Cenobites were just 'mwah', horrified me for years after. Julia was frightening all on her own. They still have so many sights to show you, well actually all of us.
