Terrible acting, a jumbled (not to mention nonsensical) plot and shoddy directing combine to make this one of the very worst films I've ever endured watching. In my book, it's right down the bottom with the likes of the fantastic four and Howard the Duck...

Action-packed, funny and intense. One thing I didn't like was the fact that Selma Blair seemed like she genuinely couldn't be bothered to be in this film. She just seemed really lazy when she spoke.

Great movie, Ron Pearlman is perfectly cast. Although quite different from the source material, Del Toro makes the movie his own and its wonderful art style and practical sfx set it a head and shoulders above other superhero blockbusters.
