Hellboy

A bit jumbled and some very gorey effects but hey, when Hell rises it's bound to be gorey. David Harbour does a pretty good job but Ron Pearlman IS Hellboy to me. Overall, the story just doesn't create empathy for the main character like the original. Yeh, special effects can be great but character development is more important, especially if you had planned sequels. It also doesn't help when the dialogue sound level is 3/10 while everything else is 11/10.

This movie is a reboot of the fist 2 films lot of action/horror/Gore. but needs a reboot again with a lack of details to the story and small bit of poor acting followed up with an action styled directed film. i just wished that they had the gritty-ness like the other 2 films and less cgi and animated scenes. all up good movie

You can tell that the basic ingredients such as lead cast, basic plot line, costume and set design had great potential to make this a good sequel in its own rights. Sadly the film feels disjointed, leaving the audience confused as to what tone of film they're watching. A matter of too many cooks and conflicting visions. BUT still worth a watch if you can get it cheap and are a fan of the genre.
