Hector (2015)

Starring Peter Mullan, Hector is the story of a forgotten member of society, following the annual journey of Hector McAdam as he makes his way from Scotland to London in want of friendship and warmth at Christmas time. Having lived on the sidelines for years, surviving the realities of homelessness by frequenting service stations the length and breadth of the UK, Hector makes his way to his temporary home of a shelter in London, where he can for a day forget his dire situation. This year however he decides to not only venture to visit his Christmas family but to seek out also his real family, who 15 years ago he left behind. Faced with an uncertain future, and wanting to settle his tumultuous past, Hector finds himself faced with the joys and disappointment of stepping back into society, but one thing is for sure, this Christmas will be one that he always remembers.
