About this movie

Academy Award-winners Robert DeNiro ('Showtime,' 'Analyze This') and Al Pacino ('Insomnia,' 'Any Given Sunday') -- together for the first time since 'The Godfather Part II' -- head a stellar cast in this taut psychological drama about an obsessive detective and a brilliant thief whose fates are linked in the aftermath of a high-stakes securities heist.

Heat is a film from 1995. Seen this film over and over so many times I've lost count. Usually I hate long films as they drag and are boring but Al Pacino and Robert De Niro's performances sparkle and the storyline is good and character development... Heat has some violent scenes but all done by Michael Mann in style, brilliant and suspenseful ending aswell as Pacino gets his man... Classic crime thriller, also stars Ashley Judd, Tom Sizemore, Tom Noonan, Kevin Gage, Val Kilmer and many more.

This is in my top ten greatest ever made. Just look at the caliber of acting in this. It's a masterpiece that looks good and feels good. Everyone knows about the cafe scene but John Voight is pretty special too. From the moment Val Kilmer goes to buy explosives with a ponytail you know your on to a winner.

The cast ignite a great script. One film that justifies being so long by virtue of exploring characters fully and avoiding a simplistic good vs bad morality tale
