About this movie

From the creator of Training Day comes Harsh Times, a gritty look at friendship, loyalty and ambition set on the extremely rough streets of south central Los Angeles.

Christian Bale (Batman Begins), Freddy Rodriguez (""Six Feet Under"") and Eva Longoria (""Desperate Housewives"") star in Harsh Times, written and directed by David Ayer (Training Day, The Fast and the Furious).

Without a moral compass to guide them, it is only a matter of time before these two misguided friends get lost along a destructive and explosive path from which there is no turning back.

Mike is feeling the heat from his longtime girlfriend, Sylvia (Eva Longoria): either get a job or get out. But the love of a beautiful woman can't compare to the bonds of friendship, and Jim and Mike are soon cruising the streets of South Central, slipping back into a deceitful life of drugs, violence and petty crime, just like when they were kids.

WHATEVER YOU DO, do not listen to any of these reviewers. You basically have Christian Bale and Freddy Rodriguez riding around in a car from place to place trying to talk like Latina ganisters, doing an embarrassedly bad job at it. I mean I have watched thousands of movies and TV shows and this is the worst. Bale's acting was so bad he should give his paycheck back and never mention this movie again. Mark my words, all of those 5 star ratings are fake, or these people are willfully blind and deaf. I kept skipping forward hoping it would get better and it only got worse.

The title is a pretty bold statement because American Psycho was absolute genius but this gritty real life look at the horrors of War and living on the West Coast is totally awesome. This is a movie where if you're flipping channels and its already halfway in it you cannot help but watch the rest every single time. It is simply addicting.

It must have been tough to deal with having post parte after getting out of the military, when he failed becoming a cop, and then asking your best friend to not let me suffer
