About this movie

Harry, Ron and Hermione return as teenagers for a third term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But Harry's fate, and that of the entire community of wizards, looks bleak when the infamous Sirius Black--convicted of abetting evil Lord Voldemort by killing 13 people with a single curse--escapes from prison. The only clue to where Sirius is headed: The Azkaban guards heard Black muttering in his sleep "He's at Hogwarts ... He's at Hogwarts." Now, even within the walls of his magical school, Harry may not be safe from a convicted killer in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

It took me several viewings of this film to actually discover that I like it. The book upon which it is based is my least favorite in the series. However, this film is one of the better films in the series. It's not because of the plot itself, although how the plot was portrayed in the film was actually quite well done for the most part. It is really because it is the most stylish, the most artistic installment in the series. Alfonso Cuarón is a talented and unique director who brought something completely new to the Harry Potter film series. The shots in this film are especially scenic for the series, and it is actually a nice touch. One thing that could have been done better was capturing the seriousness of the plot. There are a lot of little, extraneous scenes and inclusions throughout the film that are out of place and take away from the darkness and the flow of the story. I understand that it was probably an artistic decision on the director's part, but it...could have been executed better. The acting in this film was also the weakest in the series. Overall, this third film is a very unique installment. It's got style! It can be bumpy sometimes, but it is still a great film!

Well it could be worse. Harry Potter is the best series of movies I've found. Which means it's worth 1-3 stars instead of negative stars. The night bus, in this movie was creepy, what the heck gave them that Idea? But my bigges problem is, where the heck is Lupin's back story? These people really need help deciding where senes are important and where should be left behind. Still, this and most other Harry potter movies, [q~@]that least resemble the books they are basted on, which is better than almost every movie I've watched so far. It looks like the director read the book even if he didn't understand it. Which is a huge improvement.

The movie would not play no matter what I did. I watched the second in the series last night with no issues in exactly the way I tried to watch this movie, so it is not my equipment. I ended up calling google and getting a refund.
