About this movie

The silence has been broken...Screen legend Anthony Hopkins ("The Lion in WInter") is perverse perfection in his return to the role of Dr. Hannibal Lecter, the sophisticated killer who comes out of hiding to draw FBI Special Agent Clarice Starling (Julianne Moore, "Carrie") into a high-stakes battle that will test her strength, cunning...and loyalty. Meanwhile, the good doctor’s only surviving victim, Mason Verger (Gary Oldman, "Sid and Nancy"), plots a particularly nasty revenge. Drenched in baroque terror and hair-raising visuals, "Hannibal" is as compelling as it is shocking. Legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott ("Thelma and Louise") served up this smash-hit thriller from a screenplay by David Mamet ("American Buffalo") and Steven Zaillian ("The Falcon and the Snowman"), based on the bestselling novel by Thomas Harris ("Red Dragon"). Ray Liotta ("Unforgettable") and Giancarlo Giannini ("Quantum of Solace") round out the utterly delectable cast.

If you were expecting the sequel to Silence of the Lambs to be good, you're wrong. This movie is bad. The story didn't make any sense, the ending disgusted me, and I don't want to see this movie ever again. If you're thinking about renting this, don't. Save your money, and find some other movie to watch.

Ridley Scott's Hannibal is the worst sequel to The Silence of the Lambs. Worst ending and bad story. Looks like Hannibal Lecter is digging his own grave.

Best Hannibal Lector/Anthony Hopkins film I have ever seen. Surprised about all the ignorant hate it gets. Great love story.
