The movie was very awkward with the voice acting and the animations of the characters. Felt dull and under exaggerated, however, after reading the book to then watch the movie, I can appreciate the accuracy of the descriptions and the chronology of the movie's timeline. On the contrary, this movie did not mention anything about the fall of reach, so it felt really silly to call it the Fall of Reach, unless they made another part for it. The movie concluded from the point of the second section of the book, when the book had five sections. I would've appreciated the movie more for Halo Lore accuracy if they made multiple parts or create a mini series, an episode of each section of the book.

In my personal opinion I loved it, However I did catch a few mistakes or points where the movie didn't line with the book. Now as a lore junky I was very upset, but the 'sexy smooth' voice of chief leveled me out. I would say read the book AFTER watching otherwise you'll ruin the movie. overall its really, really good. I am very fond of it and i hope those reading this take the time to watch and read the book(both are so amazing). I would rate 5/5 it did follow the book somewhat close, but hey in real life nothing is perfect. "Sgt. West: We exist for a purpose, lets make it one hell of a good one marines." R.I.P Sam

It is an excellent way to get acquainted with blue team in a way that Halo 5 could not deliver. Of course if you read the books these are characters we know, but if not this is a good crash course. I hear it is not super faithful to the book, which grinds my gears a touch, but in the end it works for what it tries to do. A star is taken off for crappy 343 Elite and Grunt design, but what did I expect. Either way this makes me want to play Halo 4 again, but I think I can still not bother with 5... TLDR: Watch it and understand that its goals are to supplement the 343 vision while also keeping the classic Halo CE style since it is before. A perfect blend of both.
