About this movie

Producer John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing) presents the third chilling installment in the shocking Halloween collection. When a terrified toy salesman is mysteriously attacked and brought to the hospital, babbling and clutching the year's most popular Halloween costume, an eerie pumpkin mask, doctor Daniel Challis is thrust into a terrifying Halloween nightmare. Working with the salesman's daughter, Ellie, Daniel traces the mask to the Silver Shamrock Novelties company and its founder, Conal Cochran. Ellie and Daniel uncover Cochran's shocking Halloween plan and must stop him before trick-or-treaters across the country never come home in this terrifying thriller.

Love the movie its rare to see a movie centered around a franchise, being labeled halloween 3 but no Micheal Myers. So if you hate it for that, it is understandable and it deserves a one star. But if you like getting caught off guard, especially in a new age where every franchise is thought out, with the exception of fast n furious because I got no idea what they are doing..... give it a five like me.

Underrated horror film that should be a staple for Halloween! Sure there's no Myers, but we do get a refreshingly original take on a horror film and for the most part it works. Strong casting, good cinematography, and that Silver Shamrock commercial you won't be able to get out of your head for at least a week! (im my case anyways) - I get why people hate this movie but if they give it a chance and look closer, I think there's a pleasant surprise of a film waiting to be watched!

When this movie is taken in context it makes sense. Carpenter wanted to turn the Halloween movies into an anthology. Making a different Halloween (NOT about Michael Myers) but different movies taking place ON and ABOUT Halloween. The misguided studio execs did not know how to market this, had no faith in it and it tanked. FORGET lame Myers and watch on its own.
