About this movie

History repeats itself in this inventive, side-splitting comedy. Murray, a Pittsburgh weatherman on assignment in Punxsutawney, PA., gets stuck in a comic time-warp and must experience the same groundhog day over and over again...until he learns to appreciate the little things in life! Along the way he falls in love with his beautiful and brainy producer.

It would have been five times better if they got someone else for Andie MacDowell's character, or if she was just eliminated from the entire movie. The only reason the movie holds up is because of Bill Murray's comical performance and Harold Ramis' clever writing.

I own this movie. I like this movie or I would not have purchased it. But now it is skipping and breaking up during playing. I think it is being stolen like many of the movies I have purchased. I think you will wait for a while and then it will disappear from my play purchase list like others have. Then you will tell it it's not available or I can buy it again like you have with the others you stole.

Few movies ever capture this level of transformative self-realization, evolution, kindness, empathy, compassion, humility, and salvific power of love. This story of a lonely, suffering egotist finding out how to love and become a person worthy of love is timeless and eternally instructive. It continues to coach and convert me ever year I watch it.
