About this movie

Do you ever have deja vu? Didn't you just ask me that? Bill Murray is at his wry, wisecracking best in this riotous romantic comedy about a weatherman caught in a personal time warp on the worst day of his life. Teamed with a relentlessly cheerful producer (Andie MacDowell) and a smart-aleck cameraman (Chris Elliott), TV weatherman Phil Connors (Bill Murray) is sent to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to cover the annual Groundhog Day festivities. But on his way out of town, Phil is caught in a giant blizzard, which he failed to predict, and finds himself stuck in small-town hell. Just when things couldn't get worse, they get worse; Phil wakes the next morning to find it's Groundhog Day all over again... and again... and again. Cheered by critics as Bill Murray's best movie ever. MPAA Rating: PG © 1993 Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. All Rights Reserved

Phil transforms from a selfish self-centred person into a caring human being, whilst on a quest to win the love of Rita, the nicest person he has ever met. Phil learns to see all the beauty and wonder in the world around him, and understand the great potential, and the limits of his own mortality. For great comedy with a deep message, you cannot beat this movie.

Delightful moral tale in the tradition of Frank Capra. Cynical, self-centred weatherman Phil Connors is forced to live Groundhog Day over and over again. After trying everything from drunkard rampages to grand theft to cope with the inanity, Phil finds inspiration for a possible way forward in his producer Rita. Bill Murray performance is hilarious and heartwaming, ensuring this film will be remembered as one of the greats.

A great example of what Hollywood use to produce. Straight forward stories, great acting, and no hidden agendas...... an era that will be eventually wiped from the new gen that feelings have been hurt. Enjoy a classic film that is timeless......
